Finally made it to my first game at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, and I was not disappointed. LSU is consistently ranked as one of the best college baseball atmospheres, and it’s easy to see why. LSU baseball averages over 10,000 fans per game, and has led the nation in attendance for 25 straight seasons. If you are a baseball fan you won’t regret taking some time to see a game in Baton Rouge.

It’s not just LSU either, the SEC is full of amazing college baseball environments. If you ever get the chance, go see a game at Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas, or Vanderbilt, all of which are consistently ranked as top 10 stadiums. The stadiums are more intimate than MLB, but the crowds are just as electric, making for a very cool viewing experience.

  1. Bet you didn’t know your old pal Jennifer is a student at LSU. You wouldn’t have seen her in Baton Rouge, however, she’s in an extension program to wrap up her Bachelor’s degree. Geaux Tigers!
